Highland Energy designs, constructs and maintains landfill gas collection systems
on landfills for the purpose of:
Mitigating odors.
Arresting gas migration.
Reducing Landfill Gas emissions into the atmosphere.
Utilization as fuel for renewable energy.
Creating Emission Reductions by the reduction of Methane CH4.
Gas Collection System consists of:
Wells Wells are drilled
vertically into the landfill in a matrix fashion to cover all areas of a landfill
that may produce Landfill Gas.
Gas Collection Gas
collection consists
of a series of lateral pipes connecting each well to a main header pipe.
Blower
Gas is drawn from the wells and collection piping through a main header
using positive displacement blowers, which delivers the gas either to
a:
*Flare for destruction of Methane
*Highland's Gas Scrubbing System for preparation for utilization to
produce renewable energy.
